Jean-Pierre BACCUS
Founder and Managing Partner

Jean-Pierre assists fund managers, industrial companies and HNWIs.
Jean-Pierre has more than 20 years experience in finance and accounting.
He advises international groups on the design and implementation of strategies to develop their presence in Luxembourg, with a focus on alternative investments (private equity, real estate, hedge funds), but also manufacturing companies and HNWIs. He has held a number of technical and management positions. He is one of the pioneers of alternative funds in Luxembourg where he developed related IT applications.

Prior to founding EOS Luxembourg, Jean-Pierre was CFO at Oaktree Capital Management and Bain Credit, where he came to understand the needs of the alternative fund industry. He was also in charge of IFRS consolidation of listed real estate groups at Orco Property Group. He started his career at CACEIS at the dawn of the alternative fund industrialization in Luxembourg.

Jean-Pierre holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and taxation from the Haute-Ecole Léon-Eli Troclet (Liège), a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Metz (France), a master’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Luxembourg (Luxembourg) and a certified IFRS master’s degree from the Catholic University of Leuven. Jean-Pierre is a member of the OEC (Ordre des Experts-Comptables), a member of the ALCO (Association Luxembourgeoise des Compliance Officer), a member of the ILA (Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs) and a founding member of the LPEA (Luxembourg Private Equity Association).

Sophie KOEPPEL
Administrative Assistant

Sophie assists fund managers, industrial companies and HNWIs with administrative, legal and compliance matters.
Sophie has 15 years of experience in the fields of administration, legal secretariat and compliance, and joined EOS Luxembourg in 2020.

Sophie is in charge of:

  • daily tasks relating to domiciliation services;
  • administrative follow-up of client companies;
  • LCB-FT monitoring, preparation and KYC verification;
  • the internal administration of EOS Luxembourg.

Sophie holds a higher professional certificate as an assistant from the Ecole Internationale Tunon.
She is trained and certified in LCB/FT matters.
Prior to joining EOS Luxembourg, Sophie worked in various accounting and fiduciary companies.

Marion GÉRARD
Senior

Marion assists fund managers, industrial companies and HNWIs with accounting and tax matters.
Marion has 20 years experience in the accounting and tax fields, and joined EOS Luxembourg in 2022.

Marion is in charge of:

  • client accounting from A to Z;
  • preparation of annual accounts;
  • preparation of VAT returns;
  • preparation of tax returns and the calculation of tax provisions for different sectors such as real estate, venture capital, holding companies and investment funds..

She holds since 2001 a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Management and obtained in 2002 a DECF (diploma in accounting and financial studies) from the Institution De La Salle of Metz.
Prior to joining EOS Luxembourg, Marion worked in various accounting and fiduciary companies.

Gianni DE BORTOLI
Collaborative Partner / Independant Director

Gianni assists, by executive and non-executives mandates, fund managers, investments companies and institutionals.

Gianni has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector.

His professional experience has been gathered with companies and banks based in Luxembourg. It has allowed him to build a broad set of skills and knowledge particularly valuable for the management of companies of the Luxembourg fund industry. Gianni also holds control functions in the Alternative Investments sector.

Gianni’s principal strengths are to oversee the Portfolio management activities, Finance and Operations.

Gianni has strong and recognised experience in (re)-structuration, (re)-organisation and liquidation of companies, funds and management companies, including AIFMs.

Gianni holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, management and economy from the Haute Ecole Mons-Borinage, in Belgium and is a member of the ILA (Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs).
